The Shakespeare Hotel – Stratford-Upon-Avon

This is the Shakespeare Hotel in Stratford-Upon-Avon project from design to completion.

The client wanted the handwriting of William Shakespeare to be enlarged and hand painted onto the wall in the large reception area of the hotel. The hotel was being modernised so the artwork had to have a modern edge whilst still looking traditional.

Below is an image of an original document hand written by William Shakespeare (held at the British Library).  This is what we worked from.

Below is the design to scale to show how the enlarged document would look over all 3 walls.

Below is a canvas sample we produced for the client to show the different colour options as well as how the overall piece would look.

This is the finished artwork hand painted over all 3 walls.  Hand painted with Dulux paint and then using a rag technique, we distressed the artwork to add an aged parchment effect.

Lewis Hamilton Mural

This Lewis Hamilton mural was hand painted near Silverstone for a Davidsons Homes show home, featuring the current season’s sponsors Petronas.  This mural is perfect for any Formula 1 loving teenager!

Depth of Aubergine – Abstract Artwork

Painted for a private client, this bespoke piece of abstract artwork shows depth and movement.  Using dusty Aubergine colours with silver greys, we created this piece for their dining room.  This hand painted abstract canvas was then framed with a Shadow frame.

Noah's Ark

 

 I had a lovely time painting this (1mx1m) canvas.  I think it's a brilliant ideas to have 'Noah's Ark' for a children's room.  It means the child can get to know their animals, colours and it helps to develop their imagination.  It took me 3 days to paint and I loved ever moment!!
The panda's were added in as it's the child's favourite animal.

‘Artistic Touch’ is featured in the ‘London Evening Standard’

The Winnie-The-Pooh bedroom and en-suite I painted over Christmas is featured in the ‘London Evening standard! The article is about Viki and Mike Lander who bought a boring 70′s house and their journey into turning it into an incredible home. Viki approached me to help turn her idea into reality, to turn her child’s room into something spectacular!

Here is the finished product. The Winnie-the-pooh theme runs right across all three walls, framed around a tent bed. Also I hand painted cabinet doors for the en-suite bathroom, which were then varnished to protect against any moisture. To finish off I scattered little bumblebees everywhere! The client was so pleased.

Dr Seuss Canvas

Have an empty stairwell? why not have your favourite quotes from Dr Seuss hand painted on a 3 meter long canvas to give you the encouragement you need as you go down those stairs to start your day!! My client did:) Such a brilliant idea!

Paddington Bear is off to New York City!!

 

 

 

Paddington is off on another adventure... to New York city!! I hope he like's his new home over there. Our first international client, Artistic Touch is growing!

I painted Paddington Bear on watercolour paper using Gouache paint.  Using Gouache paint is a great paint to use because the colours are really bright and the paint is easy to rework, with just a little water. By Carren Lu

Upcycled Dolls House

 

 

Upcycling a Dolls House - I was given a Dolls House to paint for a little someone.. I even added designer wallpaper inside!! Very posh! Completely varnished for protection from sticky fingers.

 

Paddington Bear Bedroom

I absolutely love this room!  I think Paddington Bear is a classic theme for a childrens room, perfect for a boy or girl.  I hand painted this 3 meter high Paddington Bear Mural for a little girls room in Putney for April Hamilton Interiors.  I worked with the colours of the fabrics used for the scheme to make sure the whole design pulled together. 

Hand Painted Blossom

 

 

A Hand Painted blossom branch for a Master Bedroom in Putney, complete with silver leaf on the branches and tiny Swarovski crystals in the flowers. The overall design adds a touch of elegance to the room.  The silver leaf mirrors the fabric used on the bed and the down lighters in the ceiling catch the crystals on the blossom mural.  I think this mural could be used in any room, perfect for a dining room and of course a bedroom.

Horse Jumping

For all those horse lovers, here is a mural that I painted which is very clever.  Use the head board as  a horse jump, it's very effective. Also this mural is perfect for a little girl right to her teens.  The use of violets and greys keep the design modern and is suitable for any style of home.

special little boy!  I think it's the perfect gift for a child for him to enjoy for many years

to come. (1m x 1m) chunk canvas, painted using matt emulsion paint.

Rita Ora Hand Painted Mural

Inspired by Rita Ora, a British singer-songwriter.  

This mural was designed for a teenage girls room,

having her favourite artist 'Rita Ora' painted on her bedroom wall.

It's a feature wall that's creates a wow factor, full of fun and sparkle.

Hand painted and designed by Carren Moulder, the 'Rita Ora' mural took 2 days to complete.

I painted this mural in matt emulsion paint and added a touch of sparkle

by adding swarovski crystals to her rings and a gold metallic on her eyelashes.

 

This mural was painted for a show home designed by Lyn Butler - 2die4 Interiors.
